Hi, my name is Doug, CBS 11 Dallas News Anchorman, and I hate Cancer!
I’m a husband of 22 years, a father of two, and passionate when it comes to the power of community and helping others. I’ve been blessed with an incredible family, relative good health, and a lifetime ability to help others around me.
I’ve watched first hand the ravages of blood cancers. My friend Anna is one of so many examples.

Doug and Anna
Five years ago, Anna was living a healthy lifestyle and teaching water aerobics, when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma that turned very bad, very fast. With chemo, a feeding tube, and a sepsis infection, things went from bad to worse, physically and financially.
The picture to the right shows Anna 5 years later. She is alive today, in part because of treatments born out of research by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, funded in large part by LLS Team in Training. Anna is among our growing number of blood cancer survivors. Here today, thanks to endless research by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Research saves lives…research requires money… the math is simple.
