National Cancer Prevention Month takes place in the month of February. February 2nd is National Cancer Prevention Day, and February 4th is World Cancer Day, an annual event promoted by the Union for International Cancer Control. World Cancer Day is aimed at uniting the world’s population in the global fight against cancer. These observations and initiatives serve to increase awareness and empower individuals to live healthier lives.
This month is important for everyone affected by cancer because the fight for cancer starts with awareness. The ribbon has grown so much recognition and that’s been done by spreading awareness. C3 for Change is striving to create more awareness for cancer and fundraise for more research. Join us in the fight by making others aware this month and every month!
The awareness color for Cancer Awareness is Lavender.
